Community Park Pond from the shore

COMMUNITY PARK POND IS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

The Olathe Community Park Pond is an ideal spot to enjoy the colors of autumn. Young kids can learn how to fish as well as providing a place with light exercise and plenty to observe for any senior. Broad flat surfaces allow for easy walking and wheel-chair accessible decks for fishing. The pond is seasonally stocked with 10-12” rainbow trout, and also has a large population of sunfish and bullhead catfish with an average depth of 25 feet.

While you’re there watch for deer, red fox, weasels, muskrats, and racoons. Several varieties of ducks and geese frequent the pond as well as blue herons, hawks, an osprey and an occasional eagle hunt in the area. Colorado parks and wildlife regulations apply.

Ice fishing is available at your own risk, please use caution and do not fish alone!
