The Olathe Parks Department has a staff of 1 full time and 2 seasonal employees and is responsible for 22 acres of open space, 14 acres of irrigated turf grass in 8 parks. Included in the 8 parks are:
- 1 fishing & 1 irrigation pond (with handicap access)
- Wetlands
- 3 playgrounds
- Decorative gardens
- 5 baseball/softball fields
- A multipurpose sports field used for soccer, football, festivals
- Walking trails
- 60’x40’ concrete stage (with electricity)
- Covered pavilion (with electricity)
- Remote control car track
- 18 hole disc golf course
