Effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020, Chief Patrone has issued an order declaring a local disaster within the Olathe Fire Protection District.
This order, in conjunction with other such local orders, and to support both state and nationwide efforts and COVID-19 guidelines, activates response and recovery aspects applicable during disasters and authorizes aid and assistance, if necessary, under disaster emergency plans and preparations.
Olathe Volunteers will continue to respond to fires and medical calls, however, the station is now closed to the public until further notice.
